Never send money

Never send money, financial information, wire transfers, electronic transfers, or gift cards to anyone you meet online. Proposal will not ask for payment through improper channels. Suspicious requests should be reported immediately.

Protect personal information

Remain anonymous until you feel ready. Be careful with your full name, phone number, email, address, workplace, financial details, and social media accounts.

Keep conversations on Proposal

Avoid moving conversations to text, personal email, phone, or social media until you know enough about the person and feel comfortable.

Report suspicious users

Report requests for money, harassment, offensive messages, fake profiles, spam, solicitation, inappropriate behavior, stolen photos, and any activity that violates the terms.

Meeting in person

Meet in a public place, tell friends or family where you are going, keep your phone charged, arrange your own transportation, and leave immediately if you feel unsafe.
